Position Title: Inclusive Education Coordinator (IEC)

We bring the RCAS mission to life as a Provincial Online Learning School, offering innovative onsite and virtual programming across British Columbia. Reports to: Director of Inclusive Education
Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Inclusive Education, the Inclusive Education Coordinator (IEC) will provide quality educational services to students with exceptionalities and their parents in a home learning setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to working collaboratively alongside parents and the broader education team to plan, implement, and monitor student IEP programs.
Key Responsibilities
IEP Development & Implementation: Design, write, and execute high-quality, measurable SMART IEPs and student learning plans tailored to individual student needs.
Curriculum Adaptation: Effectively modify and adapt general education curriculum to support diverse learning styles and exceptionalities across grades K-12.
Collaborative Teamwork: Function as an active, supportive member of the educational team. Collaborate regularly with parents, SEAs, general education staff, therapy providers, support personnel, and external community agencies.
Educational Assessment & Diagnostics: Recognize distinct learning challenges, prescribe appropriate educational remediation, and accurately evaluate student progress. Utilize basic training/experience to interpret standardized scores and relevant details found in EdPsych and other specialist assessment reports.
Documentation & Compliance: Compile precise and thorough special needs funding justification documents in alignment with provincial standards.

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: CA $ 30,000 - 45,000 annually (prorated based on the actual FTE)
Benefits: Extended Health & Dental, Pension plan available upon eligibility.
