Job Description

The Position:

We are looking for a part-time Education Assistant to work on-site one day per week in our Nanaimo Community Connections class for the remainder of the 2025/26 school year. Additional hours supporting students in their family homes may be available.

Location: Nanaimo, BC
Grades: 6-8
Schedule: Wednesdays, 8:45 am – 3:15 pm

As the Education Assistant your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support the social, spiritual, and academic learning needs of students, providing mentorship to the whole person

Job Description

HCOS is looking for BC Certified Teachers to join our team as Curriculum Engagement Facilitators! There are two full-time, remote positions available, working 40 hours per week, starting on July 1, 2026. These positions are responsible for transforming the Learning Commons from a resource warehouse into a curated educational partner, designing high-impact resource bundles, creating micro-learning instructional content, and serving as a dedicated pedagogical bridge between the Learning Commons and teachers.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pedagogical Curation & Resource Development

  • Create teacher resources to address changing educational needs, integrate new technologies, replace outdated resources, and accommodate diverse learning styles.

  • Develop microtraining instructional tutorials and infographics that explain how to use

  • Learning Commons resources and platforms.

The Position:

HCOS has an opening for a full-time, Director of Inclusive Education! Working either remotely or onsite in Kelowna, BC, the Director of Inclusive Education (IE) provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality IE programming that aligns with the broader mission of HCOS.   • IE Department Leadership
