Job Description
HCOS is looking for BC Certified Teachers to join our team as Curriculum Engagement Facilitators! There are two full-time, remote positions available, working 40 hours per week, starting on July 1, 2026. These positions are responsible for transforming the Learning Commons from a resource warehouse into a curated educational partner, designing high-impact resource bundles, creating micro-learning instructional content, and serving as a dedicated pedagogical bridge between the Learning Commons and teachers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pedagogical Curation & Resource Development
Create teacher resources to address changing educational needs, integrate new technologies, replace outdated resources, and accommodate diverse learning styles.
Develop microtraining instructional tutorials and infographics that explain how to use
Learning Commons resources and platforms.
Curriculum Consultation and Support
Offer ongoing support to teachers, EAs, parents, and students on selecting and integrating curricular resources.
Research and align home education resources with BC’s Curriculum (e.g., curriculum correlations).
Related duties as required.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Demonstrates a commitment to, and a lifestyle reflective of, the KCCS Foundational Beliefs
Certified BC Teacher
Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Curriculum Design, or a related field with expertise in BC curriculum
Thorough knowledge of the BC curriculum and its application in an online learning environment
Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and digital resource curation
Well organized with a strong attention to detailCommitment to continuous professional and personal development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient technological skills and the ability to manage multiple software programs at once
Ability to prioritize workload and flexibility to manage multiple tasks to ensure scheduled deadlines are met
Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, OverDrive, Insignia, and WordPress
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents to enhance curriculum delivery and resource accessibility
