Job Description
HCOS and KCC have an opening for an HR Coordinator. This is a full-time, hybrid position, working 40 hours per week, with two days per week on-site. The primary purpose of this position is to be the first point of HR contact for new employees and contractors. Providing administrative support to candidates, hiring managers, internal HR, and business stakeholders to provide a consistent onboarding experience for newly hired staff across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with HR team members and hiring managers to create and refine job descriptions and postings that ensure consistency across all divisions.
Complete all recruitment administrative processes while ensuring compliance with legislative and societal requirements.
Assist with job posting processes, adding new job postings to the website(s);,posting internally and externally as requested, renewing postings as needed and ensuring the Career page is uniform in aesthetics and accuracy
Coordinate and administer the the new staff onboarding life cycle including onboarding processes and orientations.
Administer and assist with the completion of Letters of Permissions (LOP’s) and Memo of Understanding (MOUs) for all required applicants.
Administer all staff employment and service provider agreements.
Assist with status change forms processing of end of employments and end of contracts.
Provide support to HR Team with claims management, and backup support on benefits administration, including enrollment and deactivation.
Collaborate with and assist the HR department to ensure department goals are met.
Support and cross-train in HR team-related tasks within the HR department providing coverage as needed.Other related duties as required.
What we offer
Salary range: $72,449.58 – $74,284.56 Annually
40 hours per week hybrid (minimum two days per week on-site)
Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Demonstrates a commitment to, and a lifestyle reflective of, the KCCS Foundational Beliefs
Completion of a post-secondary education in Human Resources is an asset
A combination of relevant experience (minimum 2 years), education, and training will be considered
Proven knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, WorkSafe BC legislation, and current privacy legislation
Experience in Benefit Administration and Claims Management is considered an asset
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace
Ability to problem solve, and be a critical thinker
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
Empathetic and authentic care for people
Organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and efficient with timely follow-up
