  • Education: Master’s in Education or equivalent.

  • Supervision: Teachers, Educational Assistants (EAs), Office Staff, Student Services Coordinator, and the Director of Operations.

Core Position Objective

The Principal serves as the primary administrative and instructional leader for the K-12 program. This individual is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the school, ensuring that all programs and personnel reflect the mission, vision, and core values of LCA. The Principal provides strategic leadership to facilitate school growth while maintaining a productive Christian environment for the spiritual and educational benefit of all stakeholders.

Spiritual Leadership

  • Maintain a spiritually mature and growing Christian life, serving as a role model in speech, actions, and attitudes both on and off campus.

  • Provide authoritative spiritual leadership within the school community, modeling a consistent daily walk with Christ.

  • Encourage staff to actively pursue Christ and grow in their personal devotion.

  • Resolve conflicts with parents, students, staff, and the Board using biblical principles.

  • Maintain active participation in a local body of believers.

  • Be available for prayer and counseling for parents, teachers, and students.

  • Lead and participate in devotional and prayer times with the faculty.

  • Operate as a Servant Leader.

Educational Leadership

  • Provide responsible leadership for the school’s academic program and curriculum development.

  • Organize the faculty to effectively fulfill the educational objectives of the school.

  • Plan and organize professional development to ensure high standards of instruction.

  • Lead staff in the authentic integration of biblical principles across all subjects.

  • Supervise and support the teaching staff in maintaining consistent student discipline and behavior to foster a dynamic learning environment.

  • Build positive and supportive relationships with the student body, knowing students personally as much as possible.

  • Teach classes as needed to complete the schedule or provide necessary coverage.

Administrative Leadership

  • Strategic Stewardship: Uphold the vision and mission of the school and work with the board in updating the strategic plan.

  • Supervise, support, advise, and evaluate all members of the faculty and staff, including direct supervision of the Director of Operations.

  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and dismissal of staff to ensure mission alignment.

  • Maintain healthy and consistent communication with faculty and staff.

  • Develop, update, and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with school requirements and Ministry of Education standards.

  • Be responsible for and collaborate with the financial committee in planning the annual budget.

  • Manage all schedules and calendars, including school events, extracurricular programs, and class schedules.

  • Develop and maintain a strong rapport with parents, students, and community leaders.

  • Provide continual communication to parents and students regarding school activities, norms, and policies.

  • Participate in community activities and service outreach where practical.

  • Assist in raising capital or equipment for school projects in coordination with the Board and the Director of Operations.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on the marketing, development, advancement, and maintenance of the facility.

  • Attend monthly Board meetings and fulfill all monthly reporting requirements.
