Job Description

Flex Academy has an opening for an Education Assistant for the 2025-26 school year, working with a Grade 11 class. This is an on-site, permanent position, working 33 hours per week. depending on certification and student needs. The purpose of this position is to support the student(s) assigned to them in collaboration with the classroom teachers. CEA/EAs provide program support, behavior and academic interventions, and encouragement to promote student success based on a student’s individualized goals.

As the CEA/Education Assistant your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide the social, spiritual, and academic learning needs of students, providing mentorship to whole person

  • Connect with students individually or in small groups

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support delivery of personalized learning opportunities

  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary

  • Build relationships with families, teachers and EA’s

  • Maintaining daily communication with students, families, staff and other stakeholders

  • Support SE Department and teaching staff with delivery of IEP’s

  • Attend school field trips

  • Ensure safety standards are upheld, according to school policies

Job Description

Flex Academy has an opening for a Learning Coach for the 2025-26 school year. This is an on-site, permanent position, working 33 hours per week. The primary purpose of this position is to extend teacher impact in the classroom and to support student learning in an individual or small-group context and to ensure students are tracking and meaningfully engaging in their classes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the social, spiritual, emotional, and academic learning needs of students

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support the delivery of personalized learning

  • pportunities, supporting in curriculum development, and facilitating learning experiences for students within the classroom

  • Organize, lead and facilitate student clubs that engage students in their passion areas

  • Support students in developing executive functioning and self-advocacy skills through skill-building and goal setting

  • Track student progress and work with families, administration, and staff to ensure timely course completion

  • Act as a mentor to students, providing whole-person care and supporting their overall growth

  • Collaborate with the Inclusive Education Department, Administration, and teaching staff in the delivery of IEPs and participate in Student at Risk Team meetings

  • Maintain excellent daily communication and connection with students, families, staff, and other stakeholders

  • Attend and support school field trips as required

  • Uphold school safety, supervision standards, and all school policies

Flex Academy has an opening for part-time Innovations Math & Science Teacher.  Flex Academy educates students within a flexible educational model and supports their academic, spiritual, and social-emotional growth with a focus on individualized education.

Math 8, Workplace Math 10-11, Science 9-10, PHE 7-8
0.66 FTE position at 26.5 hours per week.
2025/26 school year

As an Innovations Teacher, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver quality instruction for both academic and spiritual growth of student (including use of digital curriculum)

  • Plan, teach, assess and report, while maintaining good classroom management

  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary

  • Plan field trips and participate in school and staff meetings, and parents meetings

  • Maintaining daily communication with students, families and staff

  • Actively participate as member of staff team
