Job Description
The Positions
We are looking for an independent contractors who are certified to teach in BC for our Sumas Community Connections+ program location teaching. Community Connections Plus (CC+) are in person learning opportunities that are one full day per week for 30 weeks where students collaborate in a class setting with a home-education flavour with a focus on meaningful and hands-on learning activities. CC+ classes are led by BC certified teachers fully responsible for covering all CC+ course outcomes.
There are two positions available:
Grades 2/3 (PHE, Science, Social Science) – 0.26 position, one day (Thursday) on site for 30 weeks at Mill Lake Church for the 2025-26 school year. Grades 6/7/8 (PHE, Science, Social Science) – 0.26 position, one day (Thursday) on site for 30 weeks at Mill Lake Church for the 2025-26 school year.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
BC Certified Teacher
Previous experience teaching relevant subjects
Ability to build relationships and work relationally with students, parents, coordinator and other team members
Flexible attitude towards adapting to students and situation
