Job Description

Pacific Academy is requesting applications from qualified individuals for a part-time Intermediate School (Grade 3 & 4) Music Teacher position commencing August 27, 2026.


Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Successful candidates should:

  • Hold a valid British Columbia teaching certificate

  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to Christian education

  • Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith

  • Possess training and/or experience in choral instruction and music education

  • Demonstrate experience directing children’s choirs

  • Support and contribute to chapel worship

  • Contribute to curriculum development and program planning

  • Work collaboratively as an effective member of the Intermediate School teaching team

  • Demonstrate strong oral and written English communication skills

  • Ability to teach basic ukulele and recorder instruction is considered an asset

  • Demonstrate a willingness to collaborate in the planning and implementation of Grade 3–5 musical productions and other Intermediate School Fine Arts events

  • The successful candidate will also demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively, and be willing to cooperate in the planning and implementation of a grade 3 – 5 Musical Production and other Intermediate School Fine Arts events.
