Position Title: Educational Assistant

Job Status: Part-Time

Regent Christian Academy Society serves children and families across our campus schools, online school, and early learning programs. As a central division of the Society, Regent Christian Academy (RCA) is our flagship campus-based school, serving the community through our Sullivan and Cloverdale campuses in Surrey, BC. We bring the RCAS mission to life through a vibrant, in-person learning community where students from Preschool through Grade 12 engage in rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and the fine arts. At RCA, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and nurturing environment where classroom excellence and spiritual mentorship prepare students to lead and serve with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
Overview:  We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistants (EA) to join our inclusive learning community. As a BC Ministry-certified Independent Christian school with a 47-year history, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where students are supported academically, socially, and spiritually.

As an EA at RCA, you will play a vital role in our classrooms, working alongside teachers to support students with diverse learning needs and helping them reach their full potential through a Christ-centered lens.

  • Instructional Support: Work directly with students to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and facilitate small-group interventions.

  • Classroom Collaboration: Assist lead teachers in managing classroom dynamics and preparing learning materials.

  • Student Mentorship: Provide spiritual mentorship and foster a safe environment where students can grow in character and integrity.

  • Supervision: Ensure student safety during transitions, recess, and lunch breaks.

Requirements & Qualifications

We seek candidates who are professionally prepared and spiritually aligned with the Regent Christian Academy Society (RCAS) mission:

  • Professional Training: Hold post-secondary certification as an Educational Assistant or have equivalent teacher training.

  • Faith Commitment: Must be an active follower of Jesus Christ and a regular member of a Bible-believing church community.

  • Alignment: Must affirm and support the RCAS Statement of Faith and Christian values.

  • Documentation: Ability to provide a clear Criminal Record Check and valid First Aid certification (preferred).
