Job Description

We are seeking dynamic Online EA – Artificial Intelligence, working 20 hours per week for the 2025/26 school year. The primary purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and Student Success Center staff to monitor, evaluate, guide, and support student use of AI tools within online coursework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with teachers to track and monitor student use of AI-assisted tools (e.g., writing assistants, generative AI prompts, code generation, etc.) in their online courses.

  • Review student submissions flagged for possible AI tool use, analyze patterns, and evaluate whether the work aligns with academic integrity expectations.

  • Conduct one-on-one or small-group conversations with students whose coursework raises questions around AI-usage: for example exploring how they used AI, what parts they contributed, what they understood, and whether they followed guidelines.

  • Investigate potential misuses of AI—gathering evidence, interviewing students, consulting with teachers, documenting findings, and making recommendations.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to students on effective, ethical, and educationally meaningful ways to integrate AI tools into their work rather than simply substituting for their thinking.

  • Maintain confidential records of investigations, communications with students, and resolution outcomes; ensure compliance with institutional academic integrity policies.

  • Proactively monitor emerging AI-tools, trends, and research in educational technology to inform school practices—raising alerts when new patterns of use or misuse appear.

  • Provide periodic reports/metrics to the Student Success Center leadership: for example number of student meetings, types of issues raised, outcomes, recurring themes, recommendations for policy or instruction.

What we offer

  • Competitive Wage: $20.81 to $27.05/hour

  • 20 hours/week, contractor model (between 9am and 2pm Pacific Time)

  • Remote position
