Job Description

HCOS has an opening for a Learning Groups (LG) Regional Administrator for the Interior Region. This is remote, permanent position, working 34-40 hours per week. The primary purpose of this school leadership position is to provide oversight for Community Connections Learning Groups (LG) offerings through administrative tasks, training, and teacher support. This role also involves working as a member of the Learning Groups Administrative Team and closely with School Leadership, Regional teams, Learning Groups Office support, Coordinators, Teachers, and Service Providers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other school leaders to promote mission, vision, values and school-wide goals in conjunction with the Directors, including participation in the Regional Leadership Team (RLT)

  • Actively contribute to professional development, training, and school events to achieve team goals and build school culture

  • Lead the development and implementation of academic programming for Community Connections

  • Manage program budgets across multiple locations

  • Partner with school leadership to align programming with student needs and educational goals

  • Participate in the student intake process and support Student at Risk Teams (SRTs)

  • Provide on-site support and foster positive relationships among parents, teachers, and educational assistants

  • Train staff on policies, classroom management, assessment practices, and budgeting


Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to, and a lifestyle reflective of, the KCCS Foundational Beliefs

  • Current BC Teacher Certification is a requirement

  • Experience with administration, budgeting and fiscal management

  • Strong leadership skills

  • A detail oriented, service minded individual with a flexible attitude towards innovation and change

  • Ability to manage change and adapt to varied workloads

  • Excellent conflict management, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills

  • Previous experience in HCOS Learning Groups, coordinating group learning activities such as field trips, sports teams and/or school leadership is an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Google docs, etc.

  • Ideal candidate will live in the BC Interior Region
