Job Description

Foods Teacher (Grades 7–12) – Job Description

  • Teach foundational cooking and nutrition concepts to high school students

  • Instruct students in food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and proper sanitation practices

  • Plan and deliver hands-on lessons in cooking, baking, meal planning, and food presentation

  • Introduce basic nutrition principles, including healthy eating habits and dietary awareness

  • Develop lesson plans that build practical life skills, organization, and time management

  • Supervise students in a kitchen environment, ensuring safe and responsible use of equipment

  • Assess student learning through practical labs, assignments, and participation

Job Description

  • Teach music courses to students including voice, tone, tempo and rhythm skills.

  • Train, rehearse and lead students in school and community musical programs.

  • Develop and maintain an effective music educational program for students.

  • Schedule daily classes to instruct and rehearse within the assigned time.

  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback and assistance to improve their musical skills.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Teach students in a classroom setting, managing their work output in the classroom and behavior on a daily basis.

  • Develop teaching and learning materials for use in class, including lesson plans, exams and homework, homework and projects, and assignments that make use of all student skills.

  • Modify lesson plans and materials as needed to make them suitable for students’ current learning levels.

  • Monitor and track student progress and issue grades.

  • Maintain relationships with parents and legal guardians of students in order to keep them informed of their child’s progress.

  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and administrators, including special ed teachers and teacher’s aids, to provide individualized support for each student on a regular basis.

  • Collaborate with other teachers in order to share best practices and provide meaningful feedback regularly.

Position Overview

Highroad Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop lifelong fitness habits, promote sportsmanship, and contribute to a positive school culture.

Primary Responsibilities

Physical Education Instruction:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and overall well-being.
