Mentoring Group: New Administrators

A Mentoring Group is an online peer community. The purpose of these groups will be to gather educators and school leaders who share common roles and responsibilities. During the online sessions they will learn together, listen to guest presenters and share elements of their practice for mutual edification and learning.

Who is this Mentoring Group for?

New Principals - New Vice Principals - Aspiring Principals


Group meetings are facilitated by Dr. Christian Klaue, who has 30 years of experience as a Christian school administrator. He is currently the Head Principal and High School Principal at BC Christian Academy, in Coquitlam, BC. His desire to direct this mentoring group stems from his own experience as a new administrator many years ago. There were so many things he didn’t know, and he would have greatly benefited from a mentor, a toolbox of information, and support from other colleagues as grew in his role as administrator. His goal is to help facilitate conversation, share ideas, and provide a community of support for those in that same position he found himself in.

This group consists of six sessions throughout the school year. Each session will start off with approximately 20 minutes of information on a topic that Christian wishes he had information on as a new principal followed by 40 minutes (or so) of questions and answers around that topic. These topics are not sequential; if you are interested in a topic, show up. If you are not interested, look at the following month’s topic and see if you want to join the next discussion. The goal is to facilitate a conversation and share ideas around the specified topics.

This group is available to ACSI members only and is apart of your membership. No additional cost to participate.
