Yellowhead Koinonia Christian School (YKCS) is seeking a Fulltime Junior/Senior High Humanities/Electives Teacher to start on August 26, 2024, for the 2024/2025 school year with the possibility of extending for future years. The position includes English Jr/Sr High, and electives or core classes based on the candidate’s strengths. YKCS is committed to cultivating the faith of students so that they will be able to live in the fullness of life before God according to His will for them. We are in Edson, AB, 200 km West of Edmonton and an hour from the beautiful Rocky Mountains. We are surrounded by vast forests with many lakes and rivers offering recreational opportunities.

Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips.
Design effective strategies to meet the children’s diverse learning needs.
Effective communication skills.
A knowledge of CTF/CTS or a second language would be an asset.
Qualifications:
Have a Bachelor of Education degree
Hold (or be eligible for) a valid Alberta teaching certificate
Have a passion for Christian Education
Bible College education or successful experience in youth work is valuable.
