Job Description
The Teacher On Call (TOC) is responsible for delivering instructional and classroom management support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The TOC ensures continuity of learning by implementing lesson plans, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting student engagement and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement lesson plans and instructional activities as provided by the regular teacher
Maintain classroom discipline and promote a respectful learning environment
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, and other school areas as assigned
Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
Provide clear instructions and facilitate learning activities
Leave detailed notes for the regular teacher regarding lesson progress, student behavior, and any concerns
Follow school policies, procedures, and emergency protocols
Build positive relationships with students and staff
