Position Title: High School Math Teacher

We bring the RCAS mission to life as a Provincial Online Learning School, offering innovative onsite and virtual programming across British Columbia. Reports to: Vice Principal

Overview

The High School Math Teacher at RCOA is responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized math instruction to students in grades 9–12 within a flexible online learning environment. This role involves supporting home-learning families, facilitating virtual or occasional onsite programming, and mentoring students both academically and spiritually as they navigate graduation pathways.

Key Responsibilities/ Core Competencies

  • Design, assess, and deliver BC Ministry of Education-aligned math curricula for grades 9–12 (including Workplace, Foundations, and Pre-Calculus streams).

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on student assignments and maintain accurate records via the online learning management system.

  • Collaborate with home-learning parents to personalize educational pathways for individual student success.

  • Integrate a biblical worldview seamlessly into mathematical concepts and daily student interactions.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one).

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with a major or minor in Mathematics, or equivalent specialized experience teaching high school math (Grades 9–12).

  • Demonstrated experience or strong familiarity with online teaching tools and learning management systems

  • Active membership in a Christian church community and full alignment with the RCAS Statement of Faith.
