Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, spiritually grounded educational leader to guide our school program.  The principal will provide visionary, spiritual, and academic leadership, support faculty and staff, and strengthen the Academy’s sense of mission and community.  This full-time position includes administrative responsibilities and instruction time.  CCA is an independent, interdenominational Christian school that is currently serving about 115 students from K-12, and operates on a 4 day work week.

Job Requirements

  • The principal must be a born again Christian, with active participation in a local church

  • The ability to lead by example, modeling Christ-like character and values in all aspects of life and work; putting God first, students second, and administration third  

  • Proven experience in educational leadership, preferably in a Christian school setting

  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and the ability to build relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, board members, and the wider community

  • A Bachelor of Education degree, and an AB teacher’s certificate; plus a leadership certificate issued under the Certification of Teachers and Teacher Leaders Regulation, (or willingness to obtain in a reasonable timeframe).  

  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience, preferably in a Christian school setting

  • A master’s degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field is preferred

  • Willingness to attend all board meetings, report on all aspects of the school, and implement the policies of the board.

  • A clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check
