Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Creating engaging, interactive, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
Implementing effective teaching strategies that support diverse learning styles
Providing individualized support for students who require additional assistance
Fostering a positive, inclusive, and Christ-centred classroom environment
Collaborating with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success
Using technology, outdoor learning opportunities, and educational resources to enhance the learning experience
Encouraging curiosity, inquiry, creativity, and real-world connections in student learning
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
A valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
A commitment to Christian education and the mission of Lighthouse Christian Academy
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A passion for student-centred, inquiry-based, and real-world learning
A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team
