Given that education is primarily about formation (not merely knowledge or ideas), the distinctly Christian school has to consider what we are forming our students toward. In this first session, we'll take an honest look at what's most unique about Christian schooling and how we reclaim a foundation of spiritual formation with Christ at its center.

Unless we have a clear framework that shepherds our habits of spiritual formation, many models of Christian education seem like boxes to check, verses to add, or rubrics to follow. As a result, Christian education can feel like an add-on to an otherwise "neutral" education. However, in Session 2, we'll consider a freeing framework of seven questions that return us to the Center of formation, rather than a formula that feels forced.

Aligning Artifacts with Beliefs
In our third (more interactive) session we'll use a helpful graphic organizer to consider how well our practices align with our stated beliefs. Leaning on the information from the previous sessions, we'll consider our own tendencies, learn from each other, and make plans for what we can adjust when we return to our varied areas of influence in our schools.
To help us plan effectively, we are asking registered delegates to complete the form to indicate the interactive session group in which they would like to participate.
