  • Passage: Matthew 25:14-30

How do we pursue Godly relationships with other believers? God has given you so much to share with your friends and family.  Understanding and using what God has given us is a key to pursuing Godly relationships.

  • Passage: Matthew 5:13-16

Whether we want it to or not, the way we live communicates certain things to the people around us. Followers of Jesus are called to live in a way that reflects their heavenly Faither. This makes us different than the world and adjusts how we approach relationships.

Jaime Young currently serves as Director of Discipleship at Airdrie Christian Academy, where she also teaches Bible, Leadership and Spanish. She was ordained as a pastor in 2021 and is now studying for her Masters of Theology in Christian Leadership. Her life was changed at age 23 when she became a true follower of Christ while in Honduras serving at Jericho Ministries. During her time there, she started and worked at a school for children who had been rescued from human trafficking and other forms of abuse. She is passionate about teaching the Bible and helping students live out their faith boldly and authentically. Jaime lives in Airdrie with her husband Edgardo and her two sons Jonathan and Daniel.

  • Every believer has gifts and is a vital part of the body of Christ. Just like every body part has a purpose, you too have a role that no one else can fill.

    This means:

    • You don’t need to compare yourself to others.

    • You’re not too insignificant to serve.

    • If you’re missing from the church, the body isn’t complete.

God has given each of us unique gifts—not to keep to ourselves, but to serve and build up others (1 Peter 4:10). Ephesians 4 reminds us that when we use our gifts together in love, the whole church grows stronger and more united. Don’t sit on your potential—God’s calling you to make a difference in your home, school and community now. What is holding you back?

  • Chasing Happiness: John 15:10-12, Galatians 5:22-23—The world paints a picture of happiness for guys that is often destructive and unachievable. This leaves many young men in a negative spiral. Jesus urges us to pursue true joy. When young men are focused on true joy, their relationships flourish, their faith grows, and life starts to look more positive.

  • From Strength to Strength: God in His beautiful design, uses our strengths and weaknesses to build His kingdom. Come prepared with your bibles and journals.

Student Workshop Presenters

At our Student Leadership Conferences, high school students create and present workshops to their peers, guided by mentor teachers. This experience fosters leadership skills and allows students to make a meaningful impact. We look forward to the innovative presentations prepared for this year's conference.

Student-Led Breakout Sessions

  • We try to play hide and seek with God, like Jonah fleeing from His calling or Adam and Eve hiding in the garden. We hide out of guilt, shame, or fear of what He may ask us to give up. But hiding doesn’t protect us—it keeps us stuck. Despite our hiding, His love remains constant. He calls us back to restore us, not to punish. It’s a game we can’t win—God already knows and is waiting for us.

  • Often we struggle to give God everything we have and submit to Him. We don’t know how to go about doing that or even what it means. In this workshop, you will discover how to fully devote yourself to Christ, prioritize him daily and how to slow down in a world that is always trying to speed you up.

  • In this workshop, you will learn your identity through Christ, beyond what the world has made of your identity, like sports or grades. Life is a great challenge but knowing that God walks with us and gives us strength is so comforting. The world may focus on success, possessions and relationships, but Gods Love is eternal and defines us, He reminds us that we are more than what we achieve or own.

  • As Christian Leaders we are constantly being bombarded by temptations and worldly influences. In this workshop we will discuss and learn what Jesus meant in Matt 7:13-14 when He said "Enter through the narrow gate" and how we can stay pure and holy so that we can effectively carry out God's Will for our lives.

  • This workshop takes a Christ-centered approach to James Clear´s book ´Atomic Habits´. Students will learn basic principles such as 1% improvements and Habit Stacking, and how to apply these tools to grow in their faith on a daily basis. Each student will get a hand-out worksheet to fill out and reflect on the habits they have and the habits they desire to have.

  • My workshop is called, How To Eliminate the Sin of Gossip in your Life. In this workshop I will be talking about a very common sin that has been normalized in today's society. I plan to cover the following topics regarding this topic. These topics are; What is Gossip, Why do people gossip, The importance of your words, Gossip vs. Venting, and steps to help get rid of Gossip in your life.

  • My workshop is mainly about how to keep our Spirit alive through worship and it focuses on 3 sub-topics, what it feels like, worship, and how to become closer to the spirit through worship. We will focus on why it is important to focus on the spirit and how people can lead you astray from the spirit. To keep the Spirit in our life, we need to figure out how to keep feeling the spirit.

  • My topic centers on 1 Peter 3:17–20, which teaches that it’s better to suffer for doing right than for doing wrong. Daniel and Jesus both exemplified this—remaining faithful even when it led to persecution. As followers of Christ, we’re called to live righteously and boldly share the truth, no matter the cost.

  • God has called us as leaders to humble ourselves before Him and before others. We are to serve and not be served. Leadership is not about us, it is about serving God and those around us to the best of our ability.

  • The goal of this workshop is to help other young leaders recognize the stark difference between confidence and arrogance. Young leaders will learn how to lead in a way that inspires others, instead of pushing them away. Through biblical wisdom and real life examples this workshop will encourage leaders to reflect on their attitudes, allowing them to lead with kindness and confidence.
