SK Teacher Convention 2019

  • Regina Christian School 2505 23 Ave Regina, SK S4S 7K7 Canada (map)

Ongoing, localized and personalized professional development is essential to the flourishing of teachers. ACSIWC provides structured events to help meet the development goals of Christian schools and their teachers. Each year we host Teacher Conventions which local committees help plan. These conventions feature both keynote presentations and workshops which are intended to match the professional goals of our schools. The distinctive element of each convention is the Christ-centered foundation of all learning experiences for teachers. Every educational topic is presented through the lens of the Biblical narrative. Conventions inform, equip and ultimately inspire.

Theme: Biblically Equipped and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15 (NIV) ]

Our schools exist to develop the whole child–mind, body and spirit. Of the three, the development of their spirit is the most challenging. It is a complex task that includes all aspects of school life. It also requires an understanding of how spiritual formation occurs and how to create school cultures that excel in this area. Most importantly, the educators that work with the children need to be on a path of continual spiritual improvement. At this year’s conference delegates will have opportunity to learn about best practices in their fields with an eye on developing the whole child. Specific focus will be given to the spiritual formation, both of the educators and of their students.
Keynote Speakers: Randy Carter, Straight Talk Ministries and Phil Hills, ACSIWC
