Kootenay Christian Academy is seeking a spiritually mature visionary leader, dedicated to pursuing God’s excellence in all things and capable of implementing and promoting the mission, vision, and strategic plan of the school. The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, financial acumen and the energy and vision to support KCA’s vision to expand. They will have a vibrant commitment to Christian education and a strong understanding of what excellent Christian teaching and learning looks like. The Principal is responsible to the Board for the delivery of first-class education and the effective leadership and management of KCA.
Requirements:
Professional
Master’s degree or work in educational administration preferred.
Experience in building, implementing, and maintaining a K-12 curriculum that achieves educational goals.
Previous experience as a passionate educator.
A demonstrated passion for Christian education.
Exceptional organizational capacity
A collaborative approach to decision-making and strategic development.
Proven leadership capabilities that are both pastoral and professional.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
An ability to articulate an inspiring vision, set challenging goals, prioritize strategically, and delegate for success.
Spiritual
Servant leader, spiritually mature and modeling a daily walk with Christ.
Exemplifies Jesus in character, attitude, speech, and action.
Acts in a Biblical manner with grace, integrity, and fairness.
